It is apparent the the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission has been greatly involved in the Research and Study of the Artificial Lake Levels on Lake George.  The Damming of the Lake and the Great Lake Fluctuations have been massively observed and reported by Conservation for many decades.

WATER SEICHES are Abundantly noted in the Lake George Mirror Report dated  June 17th, 1911 by E.S. Casselman  and William H. Burnett of Lake George.

This FOIL concerns the LARGE Water Seiche caused by the  Dam # 230 ( Dam “A” at the LaChute River in Weedville  AKA  Ticonderoga.  What is being sought is Water Seiche Records on Lake George or the VARIATION of Lake Level from the Dam Crest at Lachute River to the South End of the Lake.
PLEASE  SEE  the discussion of the LARGE WATER SEICHE caused by the  FLASH BOARDS atop the Dam in the June 17th, 1911 Lake George Mirror  article from the Lake George Mirror.

It should be noted   Mr. Casselman was accompanied by  William H. Burnett is the Spring , April 15th  1911  and the  Conservation Commission has been well aware of the Lake Seiches and Artificial Flooding of the  Dunhams, Harris and Von Warner’s Bay since at least 1900.

NOTICE the June 17th, 1911 Lake George Mirror Report Claims Lake George NEEDS a Dam because the Dunhams Bay Marsh is DRY ( The Fish are Dying ) …….. I have a Library of Congress and NYS Attorney General’s and Sheriff’s Records Etc Etc Etc Showing Dams back til 1802 …… I think the Lake George Mirror notes the EVEN HIGHER Dam that was built around 1920

The Very Significant Water Seiche indicated would explain the VAST Ice and Water Levels some 28 Miles South at Dunhams and Harris Bays in the Spring Ice and Snow Melt and the Rains of 1900s Caused by High Water by the DAMMING of the Lake.
In 1895 the Forest Commission and the Fish and Game Commission were consolidated to form the Fisheries, Game and Forest Commission (later succeeded by the Forest, Fish and Game Commission). In 1911 the latter Commission was succeeded by the Conservation Commission.
What is being sought are the ARTIFICIAL LAKE LEVELS  RECORDS for Lake George which would also include the State’s Investigations of Lake Seiches and High and Low Water Conditions  ( SPRING LAKE ICE )   Caused by the  Man Made Dams  at  the  North End Of the Lake.
